Where the alter ego of codelust plays

Yes, THAT fucking missing manual!

One finding that stands out in the latest ‘Linux Sucks, Windows Rules’ study by the Yankee Group is that Linux boxes are down more than Windows 2003 Server boxes because.. umm.. there is no fucking manual to read.

But standard Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Linux distributions from “niche” open source vendors, are offline more and longer than either Windows or Unix competitors, the survey said. The reason: the scarcity of Linux and open source documentation. Yankee Group.

Who would have thought of that? Probably Windows servers stay up more because they have more documentation? Maybe the old NT boxes used to go down so much because there was scarce documentation for it.

If you further project the logic, the major improvement from NT 5 (Windows 2000) to Windows 2003 Server that Microsoft has made is hmm.. documentation?!! Maybe the same reason would see Vista being stabler and more secure.

Lads and lasses, get cracking on those LaTex scripts and Docbook manuals, it will only help your fluffy penguins stay up longer.
