Stop press! Google Desktop forces Vista delays!
Goaded by Google, Microsoft brings on IE 7 beta – Los Angeles Times: “That salvo in the browser cold war is called Desktop.Google.com. It was so good that it played a role in forcing Gates and his high command to postpone the release of the Vista operating system until next January.”
This has to rank as one of the most ridiculous articles on Google and Microsoft I have seen in a long time. Adsense is a ‘protocol’? In whose weird dreams? All the files “coming down” from the internet will be now put in a Temp Internet folder and scanned first? Where was it being saved till now? On my desktop? A must-read if you want to see how ingnorant technology writers can be on a sultry Sunday.
